As a family owned and operated company we consider each employee to be one of the family. We want each person to leave work as healthy as when he or she arrived. The safety and well being of our employees is our top priority. At Ennis Electric we know that our employees are our most valuable asset. Safety is considered part of our daily operations, from bidding a job to performing our trade. A healthy Safety Record offers a competitive edge in the construction market and we take great pride in the fact that our experience mod and our frequency rates are lower than the national average, which allows us to be more competitive in this market. On a daily basis, the construction industry presents inherently dangerous conditions, requiring constant vigilance in assuring safe work sites. The Ennis Electric Company Safety Program is a mindset that every employee is conscious of every minute of the day. The goal of our safety program is to achieve and maintain a 100% accident- free work place. General Contractors have presented awards to Ennis Electric for our contributions to overall work site safety. Our safety program includes, but is not limited to, First Aid, CPR, lockout/tagout, hazardous communications, confined space, and the O.S.H.A. ten-hour course. Toolbox talks are given to employees on every jobsite each week. Ennis Electric Safety Director, Richard Ennis, stays current on O.S.H.A. rules and regulations by serving on the safety committees for DC Metropolitan Subcontractors Association and Associated Builders and Contractors Virginia Chapter.. |
