This DOI headquarters building project was a complex multi-phased 12 year program to modernize over 80% of the 1.29 million square feet.

This DOI headquarters building project was a complex multi-phased 12 year program to modernize over 80% of the 1.29 million square feet. The building was 80% to 100% occupied by federal workers during the entire project. Our work included replacement of electrical infrastructure, telecommunications, and fire alarm systems; the addition of an emergency power system, the restoration and replication of historic fixtures, and the challenging incorporation of new electrical work into the existing historic building fabric.
