From Ennis Electric CEO Kevin Cole
After more than two years of construction, D.C.’s Museum of the Bible is opening to the public! Ennis Electric is proud to have played a part in the development of this world-class museum that is truly unlike any other in the world.
The Ennis Electric team would like to give a special thanks to our partner in this project, Clark Construction, for letting us be a part of the museum’s development. We are always honored to work alongside the Clark Construction team who consistently pushes the boundaries of innovative construction in our area.
This museum is not just special to us at Ennis Electric, but to the entire D.C. area and everyone who will have the opportunity to visit. The building includes innovative exhibits and unique architectural features throughout the eight-story museum.
Other notable facts about the museum:
- 430,000 square feet
- 8 floors
- $500 million project
- 500-600 workers on-site daily during peak construction, 150 of those workers were Ennis Electric team members
- Cutting-edge technology
- LEED certified building
- Construction began in 2015
- The building is a former refrigeration warehouse and interior design showcase site built in 1923
Some members of the Ennis Electric team were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the museum during its Designer and Construction Team Celebration Day. It is always a rewarding experience to see the finished product after years of hard work and dedication to a project. I hope you will find the time to experience this amazing museum as well.
